Biography
Tim Fargher (born 7 June 1952) is a critically acclaimed British painter, sculptor and print-maker. He exhibits in London and Suffolk where he lives with his wife, Elizabeth. They have four children.
The son of Squadron Leader Thomas Philip Fargher DFC (1922-1986), Tim Fargher was born in his grandfather’s house on the Lincolnshire coast in 1952, and spent the early years of his life living between Holland, Germany and Italy. After returning to England, his parents divorced in 1963.
Fargher attended St Martin’s School of Art, where he graduated in 1979.
Fargher's work has centred upon landscape, portraiture, bronze sculpture and allegorical figure paintings.

Photograph: Zoë BlancIn 2002, to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee, The British Historical Society of Portugal commissioned two bronze portrait busts of Catherine of Braganza, The Infanta Queen of England and long-suffering yet faithful wife to King Charles II.
Fargher’s sculpture shows Catherine in her youth cradling a rosary in her hands. Modelled with great tenderness and affection, the bust is based on numerous sources, most importantly two portraits of her by baroque painter, Jacob Huysmans in the Royal Collection at Windsor.
